Whiteford Robotics
Hey, Bobcats! The Whiteford Bobcats competed in last weekend’s Robotics Tournament at Ferndale High School. They overcame many challenges including a difficult schedule that early on put them in almost last. But with perseverance, a positive attitude, and the hard work they put in all season long, they advanced to the semi finals and were eliminated in the last round. The Bobcats finished third overall against steep competition, earned more than half of the district points needed to qualify for States, and won the Graciousness and Professionalism Award. “This team has consistently pounced on the opportunity to demonstrate sportsmanship. Their “Scouting for Dummies" guide allows newer students to claw their way to success. This team can climb any mountain and makes it a point to assist other teams” said judges at First Robotics when awarding the Bobcats. Next they will go on to compete at the St. Joseph Tournament and expect to advance to this year's State competition with over 500 teams fighting for the limited spots.
