Athletics

Interscholastic athletics are an integral component of the total educational experience. While we will strive to make our teams as competitive as possible, our primary objective is to help our student-athletes acquire important life skills that will help them be successful in their adult lives.

Our Athletic Philosophy is designed to help young people develop mentally, physically, emotionally and intellectually to their fullest potential. Programs are designed to encourage meaningful participation and provide experiences in a variety of activities.

While winning is an important part of any athletic event, winning at any cost is not part of the Whiteford Agricultural Schools Athletic Philosophy. Academics, participation and sportsmanship take precedence over winning.

Through positive reinforcement and intentional teaching, we will show our athletes how to succeed with humility and persevere through setbacks in a productive manner.

The following sports are offered at both the high school and middle school levels. The name listed is the varsity head coach for the respective sport.

Hill Ties Whiteford Record

Congratulations to Senior, E. Hill, who ties Whiteford record for single game 3-pointers with six. Hill is tied with B. Baldwin who previously set the record in 2018.

Senior Athletes Signing Day

Two senior athletes from fall sports participated in a signing day. A. McClain has committed to the University of Charleston - West Virginia and plans to run in Track and Cross Country. Pictured here with Head Varsity Track & Cross Country coach, Jay Yockey, McClain was joined by family and friends. C. Bott has committee to Siena Heights University and plans to continue his football career. Pictured here with Head Varsity Coach, Todd Thieken and Assistant Coach, Ben Avis, Connor's family and teammates were able to join him for this exciting event. Congratulations to these exceptional student-athletes as they continue to excel in the classroom and in their sport.

2025 Hall of Fame Inductees

Seniors, N. Stevens and C. Lee, were inducted into the Whiteford High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, January 17th, at halftime during the Sand Creek boys basketball game. Stevens earned Second Team All-State honors in baseball last season while helping the Bobcats win league and district championships. Lee earned Division 7 First Team All-State honors from The Detroit Free Press after an outstanding season on the Bobcat offensive and defensive lines. As inductees, plaques will soon be installed and hang alongside the all-time great athletes at Whiteford High School. Congratulations!

All Middle/High School Athletic Events
$7 / Adults, Students, and Seniors.

We no longer take cash payment for sporting events. Spectators can purchase tickets using the GoFan Website, GoFan App or use of our debit/credit card readers at the ticket gate.

athletic passes

Depending on the number of people in your family and/or the number of athletic events attended throughout the school year, a yearly pass can represent substantial savings from single event ticket prices. These passes are good for all home events, excluding MHSAA and other tournaments, for the entire year. Athletic passes can be purchased on-line: Athletic Passes

Family All-Year Sports Pass - $150 / year
Good for Parent/Guardians and Children in 12th Grade and Younger

Individual All-Year Sports Pass - $100 / year

Student All-Year Sports Pass (Non-Participating Current Whiteford Students) - $35 / year

Senior Citizen (63 Years & Older) All-Year Sports Pass - $35 / year

Pay to participate

Pay-to-Participate fees are paid on-line through the IC On-line Payment System. These fees can be paid by accessing the Infinite Campus Parent Portal under the tab "fees". The fees are pushed out to families based upon sport rosters. If you need support paying your fee, please contact Ashley Van Camp at: ashley.vancamp@whiteford.k12.mi.us
